TH0210 – I finally got around to buying and reading Yes, Roya by C. Spike Trotman, Emilee Denich and gosh darn it, wouldn’t you believe that my favorite character was the submissive, hairy, muscular older gentleman? What a shock.

TH0202 – A more complete exploration of a skeletal-reinforcement rig. Not quite satisfied with what I was trying to achieve, but it was a good middle step. Also pictured are some budget basement robotic limbs. Messy, ugly, cheap as heck.

TH0201 – The second of my daddy cyborg drawings. This character helped me stay sane through the heatwave that England was subjected to in June. With these drawings I wanted to start exploring skeletal-reinforcement, lower cost limbs, and beach looks.

This was an attempt at rediscovering and applying the techniques from TH0199 in a new, perhaps more finished piece. I was waffling between giving him a big ol’ dick and a jockstrap, and I kinda think I chose wrong in retrospect.
I wanted to push the blue in the hair a little further, too. Plus, some deleter screentone up in.

TH0199 – I think this is the first proof-of-concept drawing I did to fall in love with Copic seriously this time around. All of the elements just seemed to click. Traditional media, man. It’s the stuff.

TH0198 – I really liked the interplay between the paper color, skin, and cheek blushing on these. Also the purple for the chest hair worked really well, I thought. No comment on the blue-gray for the hair, though.
